Planet Bike Fenders Review

The Planet Bike Hardcore Hybrid/Touring bike fenders
full-coverage fenders with mud flaps

- fits almost any bike with 700c wheels.
- all-weather polycarbonate
- stainless steel hardware.

OVERVIEW
Planet Bike fenders are pretty straight forward. Mounting them is intuitive, the hardware is stainless steel, and adjustments are fairly easy. There are no hidden jigsaw puzzles or secret soldering needed. Unwrap, mount, ride.

PROS
These fenders are a cheap, no fuss, solution to keeping your feet, legs, face, and back a little drier when puddle jumping on your bike. They’re fairly easy to mount, are light, and do what they’re supposed to.

CONS
The metal rods that are used to stabilize the fenders can be bent in transit. It’s fairly easy to bend them back however.

CONSENSUS
Putting fenders on your bike is a personal preference. If your tires are already surrounded by panniers, bags, tent, and more, chances are there won’t be much water reaching your back and face anyway. Not to mention you’ll be soaked in a downpour either way. If keeping road grit, mud, and puddle splashes off of your gear is important to you, these fenders do a nice job for their price range.
